About me...

Hi, I'm Helen, a writer, a poet, a mother of four living in Manchester, UK.

In 2016, after spending most of my career working in HR (learning and development), I left my corporate job to launch Guilty Mothers Club.

I'm a journaling addict, a lover of spoken word, never far from a notebook and pen.

I'm also annoyingly optimistic and have a ridiculously sweet tooth. If you offer to buy me cake, I'm yours x

About me...

Hi, I'm Helen, a writer, poet, mum of four and cheerleader for women. I'm also a big lover of coffee, cake and a good book!

In 2016, after spending most of my career working in HR (learning and development), I left my corporate job to launch Guilty Mothers Club.

I believe passionately in the power of female community. If it's a regular dose of positivity and encouragement you're after, I'm your girl x

Motherhood Minus the Medals - poetry and prose on navigating motherhood in a patriarchal society, is now out in the world.

"I got lost in the stories, found myself in the prose, wept at its tenderness and laughed like a drain at its perfect observations. It is utterly breathtaking!" - Joeli Brearley, Pregnant then Screwed.

Lonely one minute and then elated the next, overflowing with love but also desperate to escape, full of frustration whilst full of admiration, motherhood is quite frankly full of paradoxes. I hope this book helps put into words the challenges mothers face in the 21st century whilst flying the flag for change.
